Today MOSWN.com launches its new feature series, The Hot 10, which asks public LGBTQ personalities to share ten favorite things of the month. We’re excited to kick things off with “Sh!t Talkin” extraordinaire, Medino Green, who’s currently bringing his A-game to the streets with #M23 The Mixtape.
Boston rapper Medino Green ushered in 2016 in grand style last month when he released #M23 The Mixtape. On it, Green effortlessly soars rapping over nostalgic beats and samples that’ll have anyone’s head bobbing within seconds.
“I’m such a child of the 90s,” Green says about the inspiration behind #M23. “A lot of my music comes from that era, the golden era.”
Songs like, The Jump Off ’15 (ft./ Y.B.), Ayo, and Be Real are just a few of the standouts included on the 16-track gem, and also represent a departure from Green’s previous work.
“My last mixtape [The 4 Wall Project] was slow paced and very conscious,” he says. “I wanted to speed things up this time around. I sorted through some instrumentals, playing around with whatever was hot back then, and wrote these songs. They came out better than I expected.”
